I teach The Buffalo Public Schools in economically disadvantaged area. I am also a 64 yr. old male with very good health care. I know both ends of the argument. Do you find the people you speak to balk at the phrase Human Right?

Thank you both. Could you share the tool you use, which sounds like an interview guide?

From Walter: Hello to Ron and Melissa. Greetings from someone who was with the Vermont Workers Center and was on that Campaign that won Act 48. Maine is a conservative state under your flamboyant LaPage. How are you working against that, to turn that around.

Hi Judith! Here is the New York version of the “tool” - which is a questionnaire/survey that guides our conversations.

Another question: for those folks who are on Medicare, how do you engage with the fear of losing what they have?

Judi - lets think about usig the forum here.

Emotionally charged words are what I mean. In a desire to engage all people across the spectrum for support in these incredibly polarized times. Why am I involved in this? I have seen the damage done. If I ask a person in my situation about human rights, they throw up a defensive wall. If however, I asked would you like your family covered by adequate health care? No one would answer no. I see that as my way into a conversation that does not begin adverarially

How do we answer the question that Vt dropped it because it was to expensive?

And that the CA Assembly leader wouldn’t let Healthy California go to a vote because it would break the budget. (And WaPo editorial recently dismissed it on high cost)
